The app release brings increased predictability in model behavior and a faster connection flow, enhancing the effectiveness of iteration and testing. It provides an intuitive and exciting experience for students.
Key benefits of the SPIKE App 3.0 include faster connection to the SPIKE Prime Hub, increased predictability in model movement, faster firmware updates for SPIKE Prime, support for bigger user programs, and simplified motor and movement blocks.
When combined with SPIKE Essential or SPIKE Prime, the SPIKE App 3.0 empowers students to develop computational thinking skills using a progression of icon-block, word-block, and text-based coding. They can build, tinker, experiment, and progress from simple creations to complex structures. The app also allows students to program, test, tweak designs, debug and optimize, create stories with LEGO® Minifigures, prepare for FIRST® LEGO® League competitions, and more.
